Counter-Script

*** New for this Version ***

- Optimized for Counter-Strike Source
- "Old School" Text Buy Menu option
- All-New CS:Source-Enhanced Alias Choices (Now totaling 30)

Description

This is an enhanced Counter-Strike All-in-One Script that includes 30 additional popular alias choices (listed in #5) that are not available through the normal game.  The script is easily customizable with each file laid out and labeled for easy editing.  This version contains an "Old Style" Buy Menu Script that expands the user's buy options with the use of onscreen text menus.  You can now buy items 3 different ways - 1. The standard way using the Buy Menu; 2. Using the AutoScript direct bind hotkeys, and 3. Using the Old Style Buy menu.

Why do you need a Script?  The most important time in each round probably happens before the round actually starts.  You can gain a few valuable seconds to move into position or gain a valuable piece of real estate that can be the difference between a win or a loss, by automating your buys.  While you are running out of your spawn, others are still standing around going through those nice looking buy menus (don't let that be you anymore!). Also, you now have the ability to change tons of settings without ever having to open the console again.  The AutoScript has been downloaded over 500,000 times worldwide since January 2001!

5. Alias Descriptions

1. Installation

a. Unzip/install the package into your \cstrike directory. That is normally:

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\yourusername\counter-strike source\cstrike\

b. Select the "Use Folder names" option in the zip file to make sure the directory structure stays intact.

2. Setup

a. Start CS:Source, go to Options and then the Keyboard Tab. Bind the keys you want for your new script choices. You can choose from the new Buy combinations, Radio aliases, or my custom aliases. No need to edit anything in Notepad; even though you can always add onto my script if you have your own custom scripts you use.

b.  Using the Old Style Buy Menus, you must first bind "Old Style Text Buy Menu" in the Keyboard Tab.  Once you do this, that key will open the "Old Style" Buy Menu, where you can buy weapons and equipment the "Old School" way. A good idea is to replace this key with the key you normally have bound for the normal Buy menu. Why would I do that you say? Well, this script also includes combination buys within the text menus. So you can choose pre-made weapon and equipment packages all with one purchase. Another key feature is that your mouse is not "locked up" while buying. That means you can buy on the run, or even buy while firing or performing other functions. The standard vgui menus prevent you from doing this.

c. You can also bind a key to an alias in-game. Open the console and type bind (key) (alias). For example ( bind q +cjump )
Now the letter q is the alias for the Crouch Jump. You will need to know the name of the script.

3. Play Counter-Strike:Source!

4. Troubleshooting

a. The onscreen menu doesn't close. This symptom is caused by system and network latency issues. The only way to resove this is by holding the key down for a split-second longer instead of just pressing and releasing.

b. If you have problems, e-mail me at sxrxrnr@counter-script.net

c. You have no new choices in your Keyboard Tab. The kb_act.lst file is not in the correct place. Unzip the file with folders so you have a \scripts directory within your \cstrike directory. The kb_act should be in the /scripts directory. Also, try reinstalling the AutoScript and ensure "Use Folder Names" is selected if using the Zip file.
