"Cataclysm.lnk" - Smart Shortcut
Provided you have installed Cataclysm to the default location (C:\Sierra\Cataclysm) this "Cataclysm" shortcut will open the game without playing the annoying intro movies.
 
"rndMG.exe" - Random Map Generator

Tamerline produced a random map generator for HWC that is simple to use and creates new maps in seconds. Heres what he has to say about it:.

"I made a little map generator last year for HW:C, which you can get here. It works pretty good, though I think it needs a bit of work still. You can get a decent map every once in a while, that may be good enough for WON. Otherwise, they're great for practice skirmishes against the cpu.You might need to d/l a few .dlls to get it working right. Just write down whatever error's you get and google the .dll linked to that error and put it in the c:\windows\system."

This software is provided as freeware, and is without warranty of any kind. Please note that the program requires Cataclysm to have been installed to its default location (C:\Sierra\Cataclysm).
"Warp.script" - Single Player "Warp" File
The single palyer missions in Cataclysm were not intended for the kind of modifications I have made. As a result some of the single player mission objectives cannot be completed, preventing you form continuing the campaign (see table below).
  • UnZip the "warp.script" file and put it in your Cataclysm folder
  • Open it with Wordpad or Notepad.
  • At the top of the file you will see the text "LevelToWarpTo". I have set this to 7. Change it to the level of your choice (1 to 17).
  • If you want to play around a bit with the rest of the file you can add/increase your starting tech & ships for that level. You'll see what I mean.
  • Run Cataclysm and begin a new Single Player campaign.
