Description: The 1979 Firebird Formula by Pontiac is my finest work to
date. The car has been completely rebuilt and reskinned. The mesh has been improved and
much more detail was added such as chrome exhuast tips modeled to the mesh. The car now
features a slew of factory duotone paint schemes and a complete historical showcase. The
showcase contains high quality pics of the Firebird ranging from 1967-1979. All files
included in this zipfile can be installled to the same directory that the car.viv file
resides and everything works propperly.
Installation: Simply unzip this file to a temp directory such as
c:/unzipped. Now, go to your c:/programfiles/need for speed high stakes/savedata/car
directory and create a new folder called 79ff. Now copy all the files to the
savedata/car/79ff folder you made a minute ago. Load up NFS 4 and enjoy (be sure to check
out the showcase and stats section of the car). NOTE: for my car to work
it MUST be installed to the SAVEDATA/CAR directory, otherwise you will recieve an error
when loading the game.
Credits to: Eletronic Arts - without which none of this would be
possible, Agamemnon for all the tips on adding an animated driver and his great tutorials,
and to all the developers who make the fine utilities necessary to create all the addons.
Revision info:
Version v1.0: Completed first draft of entire car including new
performance, mesh, texture, transparent windows, interior, and duo-tone paint scheme.
Designed and included car historical showcase and stats section.
