Located west from our lines is the 129th
Mot.-Rifle-Regiment. Supported by some
reassigned T72 and T80 Tank-Platoons.
Due to the overall bad weather there's no
enemy - or own - aircraft presence to expect.
Enemy Artillery-Forces seem to be reinforced.
At least several prime movers with artillery
were seen along the beach road.
Back to the memories
Our platoon was ordered to host the Christmas
event. In case of enemy attack we're assigned
to support Charlie-Platoon, who actually guards
at the main front line.
Our platoon itself consists of 2 squads with M113,
and 2 Abrams-MBT as support.
Charlie-Platton consists of 4 squads with
regular infantry without IFV or APC.
Badly there still isn't artillery available
under batallion's maintenance.
Back to the memories
Today you belong to Taxiing-Service.
Pick up Major Falkenburg with the hummer from the harbour, and drive back with him to the headquarter.
Our Recon-Units report that the Ivan is obviously planning to attack. Therefore the Christmas-Event will be cancelled. Return to your squad as fast as you can!
Position of Charlie-Platoon lies under heavy artillery fire. Neighbour units are concerned aswell. So it's our turn to quickly move to Charlie, elsewhere the position is probably lost!
Hold that position with all available ressources, and don't let the
enemy slip through.
If the enemy could breakthrough sumwhere, then it doesn't looks
very good for us!
The Charlie-Platoon is almost completely erased
from the massive Soviet bombardment!
Only our fast and tough engagement is the
reason we still could hold the Position.
It's Over!
The surprise was on Ivan's side.
Partial groups of the enemy could advance to the East Coast,
and put up a stubborn defense.
The following troops doing their best to let this
place being hell on earth.
There's no hope! Without support and reinforcements,
Kolgujev is lost place for us!
