CHAOS ENGINE CONSOLE COMMAND'S:

MINI HOW-TO: Accessing the console while in Quake 3.

Start Quake 3, once inside the game press the ' ~ ' key (left of the number 1 key, and just above of your TAB key on the left hand side of your keyboard.) After you have done that you should see a new screen slide down from the top of the game, that will allow you to type in commands to the Q3 engine, this is known as a console. ;)

Command:

\chaos_botai_maxspeed <Default = 500>

Explanation of command:

Controls how fast the maximum speed that ClockBot will travel throughout the maps, the default is 500 which does a nice job of emulating both strafe jumping effect and a mix between running and walking within the bots behavior.

Command:

\chaos_bothud_enable <Default = 0>

Explanation of command:

When enabled and you are spectator following a bot, a table will be drawn that details the bots current behavior/goals/etc. Default is off [0]. This command only works when running a local server.

Command:

\chaos_hud_weaponbar <Default = 0>

Explanation of command:

The Chaos weaponbar is a constantly visible display of all held weapons/ammo. Default is off [0] set to 1 to enable.

Command:

\chaos_hud_bigawards <Default = 0>

Explanation of command:

Causes a bigger award icon to be draw every chaos_hud_bigawards awards earned. Default is off [0]. A good value to use is 5.

Command:

\chaos_itemban <Default = 1019>

Explanation of command:

Gives you the ability to switch certain powerups off or on depending on your required training need's a list of digits is listed below for your better understanding as to what can be disabled and enabled etc ..

e.g.: MeGaHealth only for duels
\chaos_itemban 1019

CHAOS ITEM BANNING INFO:

NOTES: item ban code list .. for the forgetfull (like me :)
settings are set like : 0=allow, 1=ban -
so the default to switch all off would be 1023 and to just run mega only 1019.
1 = medikit
2 = teleporter
4 = megahealth
8 = enviro
16 = flight
18 = haste
32 = invis
128 = regen
256 = quad
512 = BFG

Command:

\chaos_log_sync <Default = 0>

Explanation of command:

Controls the way the standard log is accessed:
- 0 = Append to existing file.
- 1 = Synchronous append to existing file.
- 2 = Start a new log each time Q3 starts.

\chaos_log_status

Explanation of command:

Report if a standard log is being recorded & the name of the logfile.

Explanation of command:

Stop the standard logging system.

\chaos_log_start

Explanation of command:

Starts the standard logging system.

Explanation of command:

Erases the current log, and starts a new one.

\chaos_log_showping
<Default = 0>

Explanation of command:

Chaos Controls the display of ping times within a standard log file. Default is off [0].

Command:

\chaos_log_name <Default = " ">

Explanation of command:

The file name for the standard log. Logging will not be enabled until this variable is set. Default is "".

Command:

\chaos_botai_revenge <Default = 1>

Explanation of command:

If enabled, bots may target their killer for revenge. Default is on [1].
