1.1 Overview

A Gate, two Birds and the beautiful Sky is a modification for Ritual's Elite Force II. It adds an all new single player adventure to the game. The story centres around Illia Ericcson, a former agent of Section 31, the Federation's most secret intelligence agency. Illia's final mission proves to be her most dangerous one yet, as she faces impossible opposition in Romulan space. You can read the script containing all the dialogs, stage directions, etc. below.

The development of Gate-Birds-Sky is coordinated by Stefan „Argyle“ Hudelmaier and Lars Tiefland who brought you the award winning Elite Force 1 mod Colony7.

1.2 Development

Gate-Birds-Sky is developed in an unusual way for a game modification (mod). It's completely open source. Not only after release, but also during development. That means that someone interested in the mod can always check on the current progress and play both the maps that are already finished and those currently being worked on. Also, you can open the maps of the mod in your Radiant (Radiant is the program EF2 maps are created with) as they are provided by us in .map format.

The development itself is done using CVS which stands for "Concurrent Versions System". This is a tool that makes sure that everyone working on the team has the newest versions of all the files.

Everyone is welcome to help. There is work to be done in many areas: If you have a good microphone, you can record the lines of one of the characters. If you have experience at mapping, you are more than welcome to create one of the mod's eleven maps. Our characters need individual faces and clothing, so if you are good at editing and creating graphics you might want to help us in that area. Music is an integral part of the atmosphere and the intensity of the gaming experience, so we are very interested in anyone willing to contribute an mp3/wav of his or her self created music. Programmers can find employment at Gate-Birds-Sky as well, because the maps have to be scripted (movement of NPCs, cameras, etc) using a language similar to C++. Even if you are neither an experienced mapper, skinner (that's someone who modifies or creates the faces and clothes of NPCs), a musician or a programmer you can help us by testing the existing maps for bugs, offering suggestions or packing files together for release versions.

If you are interested in the development of Gate-Birds-Sky you can subscribe to the mailing list Address to subscribe

1.3 Ways to participate

As described in 1.2 there are many ways to participate in this project. Below is an overview over the different jobs, the requirements, documentations for it and how to send us what you created.

1.3.1 Voice over actor

Requirements:

·         Microphone

·         Sound Recorder (is shipped with Windows) or different recording software

Documents:

Story script [VIEW].

Instructions:

Record the lines of one of the characters. It's best if you put the text into multiple Wav or MP3 files (one for each time the character says something). Please use 64 kbit/s, 44 kHz Mono. If you don't know how to set those values, send us the lines anyway. We can convert them.

How to send:

Pack all the files into a .zip file and send it to submissions@gate-birds-sky.org.

1.3.2 Mapper

Requirements:

·         Elite Force II [BUY]

·         GDK (Game Development Kit) can be downloaded from here: [DOWNLOAD]

·         Some experience with map creation.

Documents:

·         Story [VIEW]

·         Tutorials can be found here: [VIEW]

Instructions:

You can either make a sample room or two using one of the settings featured in Gate-Birds-Sky (Romulan outpost, Romulan Warbird, Romulan Ruins, Excelsior class starship). If you then send us this room and if what you created meets our expectations, you get access to the CVS repository, so you can effectively work on one of the maps.

The other possibility is to download an existing map from our CVS repository (web access: Maps) and improve on it by adding details, additional rooms, corridors, etc. Then send us the improved map together with a description on what you changed/added.

How to send:

Pack the map you created/changed into a .zip file and send it to submissions@gate-birds-sky.org If you changed an existing one, don't forget to tell us what you changed or added.

1.3.3 Skinner

Requirements:

·         Elite Force 2 [BUY]

·         Image editing software like Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Gimp or Painter

·         DDS converter. DDS is the image format used by EF2 [DOWNLOAD]

Documents:

·         List of characters

·         Tutorial on skinning a head in EF2: [VIEW]

Instructions:

You can either create a completely new skin of any of the characters listed here: [VIEW]. Aside from Illia having red hair, the Captain being a Bolian and the gender of the different characters, nothing is determined, so you can pretty much do what you like.

Alternatively you can also download an existing skin from the CVS repository and improve it.

How to send:

Pack all the files into a zip and send it to submissions@gate-birds-sky.org.

1.3.4 Scripter

Requirements:

·         Elite Force 2 [BUY]

·         EF2 GDK (Game Development Kit) [DOWNLOAD]

·         A little knowledge of programming

Documents:

Documentation included in the GDK

Instructions:

Create a short scripted sequences using either one of our maps, or another one. Then send us the scripts and if they're ok, you get access to our CVS repository, so you can effectively work on the maps and the scripts.

How to send:

Pack all the files into a zip and send it to submissions@gate-birds-sky.org.

2.1 Dramatis Personae

2.1.1 Main Characters

ILLIA ERICCSON - Used to be a member of Section31, the Federations most secret intelligence organization. After the dramatic events in the Hetlek System, Illia turned her back on Thirty-One however. Due to her great accomplishments for Section 31, her superiors grudgingly let her go, although leaving the organization is usually impossible. She now works as a bartender on the USS Atlantic, a Excelsior-class Starfleet vessel. Illia has red hair.

CHANDLER STEVENS - A member of Section 31, who has a pretty high standing in the obscure hierarchy of the organization.

ALEXANDER STAMMHEIM - He is also a member of Section 31. He is in charge of the so called Sigma cell, of which Illia used to be part of during her time with Thirty-One. During his last mission near the Romulan Neutral Zone, Stammheim was abducted by the Tal'Shiar, the Romulan's intelligence agency and is held captive on a Tal'Shiar outpost in the Oberth system.

TAL'SHIR COMMANDER TEBOK - The Commander is in charge of the Tal'Shiar outpost in the Oberth System.

2.1.2 Additional Characters

KLINGON - The holographic projection of a Klingon warrior. He is part of Illia's favourite holodeck training program.

CAPTAIN MANKELL - The Bolian Captain of the starship Atlantic.

LIEUTENANT ALEXANDER MUNRO - Leader of the Hazard team. For the duration of the team's latest mission, Munro and a few others were stationed aboard the USS Atlantic. They are currently preparing to leave the Atlantic and return the Enterprise.

ENISGN JUAN MOYA - A crewman of the Atlantic. He is a member of the engineering staff.

LIEUTENANT LEE WOO-JIN - A crewman of the Atlantic. He is part of the ship's security force.

COMPUTER - The voice of the Atlantic's Computer.

2.2 Story Script

Note: Every time "Narrator" appears behind Illia's name, the camera cuts to her sitting before a nondescript wall. At the end of the storyline it becomes clear, that she was sitting in a Romulan interrogation chamber all the time. "CUTSCENE" marks the beginning of an in-game cutscene, "/CUTSCENE" the end.

2.2.1 Map One

CUTSCENE

ILLIA (Narrator)

Everything began quite peacefully...

Fade out to black screen.

ILLIA (Narrator)

It was about 10 weeks ago...

Slow Fade in. Meteoroids are raining from the sky. Illia is standing on a castle-like structure. Below her is a very big closed gate. Illia is staring hard in one direction. The camera reveals that several Klingons are standing some distance away before the structure.

KLINGON

Surrender or die.

ILLIA

You'll notice that I don't

respond well to threats.

/CUTSCENE

Illia fights the Klingons; meteoroids hit the structure she is standing on, partially destroying it, Klingons beam in near her. After the last Klingon has been killed:

CUTSCENE

The door to the holodeck opens and LIEUTENANT JUAN MOYA enters. Illia looks in his direction. At the same moment a meteorite hits the structure behind Illia.

/CUTSCENE

The player finds himself propelled into the air and lands before the gate of the structure. New Klingons beam in or appear and the fight continues. Moya watches from the door blocking it so Illia can't get into the corridor. Again, after the last Klingon is dead:

CUTSCENE

Illia approaches Moya

ILLIA

Computer, end program.

MOYA

So that's how you spend your spare

time. Pretty violent.

ILLIA

After serving drinks to you Starfleet

types all day, I have to vent some steam.

What can I do for you?

MOYA

The captain has sent me. He wants to know

if you still have Saurian Brandy in

stock for the reception tomorrow.

ILLIA

I'll check.

Pause.

ILLIA

Is there anything else?

MOYA

Err, no. See you later.

/CUTSCENE

2.2.2 Map Two

Ensign Moya leaves and walks to a turbolift. The holodeck is now deactivated.

New Objective: Go to the bar

On the way she encounters members of the Hazard Team who walk into a transporter room. The door stays open, so that the player can see what's going on inside.

CAPTAIN MANKELL

It was a pleasure to have you

and your team on board, Lieutenant Munro.

Please give my regards to Captain

Picard.

MUNRO

Yes, Sir.

The Hazard Team is beamed away. Illia continues to the bar. When she enters, the Enterprise can be seen through the window. As soon as Illia steps behind the counter:

CUTSCENE

Illia kneels down and searches the counter. The camera lowers so that the rest of the room cannot be seen.

ILLIA

Ah, yes. There are two bottles.

Should be enough.

When she stands up there suddenly is a man standing before the counter.

STEVENS

Miss Ericcson, we meet again.

ILLIA

What are you doing here? Didn't

they tell you? I'm not part of

the agency anymore.

STEVEN

Membership in Thirty-One lasts as

long as one is alive. Although, if

you allow me the remark, you'd be

neither a member nor alive anymore,

if I made the decisions. What you

did in the Hetlek system was simply

inexcusable.

ILLIA

It must be unrealistic to expect a

scrap of gratitude for saving

the Alpha Quadrant.

STEVENS

I would have expected that all the years

in Thirty-One had cured you from

such naivety. But enough of that:

We have a mission for you.

ILLIA

Has your paranoia progressed so far

in corroding your brain, Stevens?

No missions for me anymore.

STEVENS

You don't have a choice.

Stevens touches his communicator. Illia and Stevens are transported away.

2.2.3 Map Three

Illia and Stevens are standing in crew quarters aboard the Enterprise. The Atlantic can be seen outside the windows.

STEVENS

May I offer you something to

drink, Miss Ericcson?

ILLIA

We are onboard the Enterprise. If

I were you, I'd be careful that

Captain Picard doesn't find out

that members of our esteemed

organization are on his ship.

Word is, he is on bad terms with

Thirty-One.

STEVENS

Captain Picard is the least of

my worries. We have a situation

at hand that makes your services

imperative. An important member

of our organization has fallen

into the hands of the Romulan secret

service, the Tal'Shiar.

ILLIA

That will not be a pleasant experience.

STEVENS

You don't recognize the graveness

of the situation. The stress is

on 'important member'. He knows

the identities of all members of

the Sigma Cell. More than forty

agents.

Pause.

ILLIA

Including me.

STEVENS

Now you understand, why it's in

your best interest to help us.

If you ever hope to sleep safe

and sound again, without fear

of assassination by the Tal'Shiar,

you have to prevent the Romulans

from getting that information.

ILLIA

Send someone else. I'm not in

shape anymore.

STEVENS

Believe me, several agents have

tried. Not a single one of them

even reached the system where

he's being held captive. I don't

like to say this, but you are our

last hope to retain this

information. The plan: Borrow one

of Atlantic's shuttles and fly to

the Neutral Zone.

ILLIA

Captain Mankell won’t just let me

fly away with one of his shuttles.

STEVENS

Then you'll have to deactivate the

Atlantic's Warp engines first.

Please, Ms. Ericcson, you're no

amateur after all.

ILLIA

And how am I to get through the

Neutral Zone in a Starfleet shuttle?

To say nothing of Romulan Space

itself...

STEVENS

Fly to the Antioch System on the

border of the Neutral Zone. A vessel

is waiting for you there. It will

take you to the third planet in the

Oberth System, where our man is

being held captive. If you can save

him: Great. But I'd also consider

the mission a success, if he

wasn’t able to pass his

knowledge to the Romulans anymore.

I'm sure you understand.

ILLIA

Only too well.

STEVENS

Good luck then, Ms. Ericcson.

Illia is beamed back to the bar. Through the window it can be seen that the Enterprise changes course and disappears in Warp.

ILLIA (Narrator)

Stevens was gone, I was on my own.

My plan was simple. Get into

engineering, sabotage the

engines and escape with a shuttle.

/CUTSCENE

Mission Objective:

·         Find a way into engineering

·         Sabotage engines

·         Steal Shuttle

The player has to take a turbolift to the deck that engineering is located on. There's a corridor that leads past engineering. If Illia tries to step through the door into engineering, Juan Moya walks towards her:

CUTSCENE

MOYA

I'm sorry, Ms. Ericcson. Only

authorized personnel may enter

engineering.

Illia turns around and exits engineering again. The player takes control. If the player goes through the door again, the cutscene is repeated.

/CUTSCENE

If Illia continues walking down the corridor past engineering, she finds an access to a Jeffries tube, perhaps inside a small cargo bay. The tube leads to a small room adjacent to engineering. A locked door connects the small room to the main one.

ILLIA

Main computer control. Perfect...

Illia sabotages one of the consoles using the Tricorder. It takes a few seconds, progress is shown by the 'modulating' bar.

CUTSCENE

ILLIA (Narrator)

Sabotaging the Atlantic was no big

deal. I inserted a virus into the

main computer that was to stop

every attempt at entering warp for

the next few days. When I was

finished with my small manipulation,

things began to take a turn for

the worse...

The door opens, Moya is standing in it. He blocks the way into engineering.

In an astonished voice:

MOYA

Ms. Ericcson? What are you doing?

/CUTSCENE

Moya pushes his communicator

MOYA

I need a security team in

engineering.

Illia is forced to escape through the Jeffries tube, because Moya blocks the door. When she steps back into the corridor, three members of security are approaching engineering from the direction of the turbolift. They stop before engineering and block the corridor so that Illia can't get past them and she can neither get to the turbolift nor into engineering again. The Jeffries tube is locked. Lieutenant Lee Woo-Jin is leading the security detail.

LEE WOO-JIN

Stop or we'll be forced to shoot!

Illia can only run in the opposite direction (away from the security detail). After she has reached a certain point, the Starfleet types begin firing. Illia runs around a corner through a door and enters a Jeffries control room. The only way of escape is a ladder leading upwards. After she has climbed one or two decks, Woo-Jin appears at the bottom of the ladder and opens fire. When Illia cannot climb upwards anymore, she finds an open door. After going through it and walking down the following corridor Illia is trapped by force fields appearing both before and behind her.

COMPUTER

Intruder has been detained on

Deck 2. Using anaesthetic gas.

Gas is escaping from numerous points. It can't be stopped like in EF2, because the player has no weapon. In the area of the corridor she is trapped in, there's an energy conduit however, which can be overloaded using the Tricorder and the wave-form functionality. After the riddle has been solved the conduit begins to pulsate more frequently and emit a sound with rising frequency. After a few seconds the conduit blows and creates a hole in the wall. The harming effects of the gas decreases. Illia crouches through the hole into a room and into another corridor. Soon after she enters a room with space suits.

CUTSCENE

ILLIA (Narrator)

I had to get to cargo bay 3

which was located on the

other side of the deck.

The way with the least

resistance lead through

the void.

/CUTSCENE

      1. Map Four

Map Four will most likely not be realized, the cargo room being replaced by a lab that follows the force field in map4.

CUTSCENE

Illia now wears a space suit.

/CUTSCENE

After a short walk on the hull of the ship during which members of Starfleet in space suits show up and start firing on Illia again, Illia enters the ship again through a similar room she exited it from.

The corridor on both sides is blocked by force fields. Illia walks through a cargo room door. There she uses a console next to the cargo transporter. Immediately the door to the cargo room opens again and three members of security appear and open fire. As soon as Illia steps on the transporter platform she is beamed away.

2.2.5 Map Five

CUTSCENE

Illia rematerializes inside a shuttle. She walks to a console and types for a short time.

ILLIA

Damn!

ILLIA (Narrator)

I found out that it was

impossible to open the cargo

bay doors from inside the

shuttle. I had to go the

main control console.

/CUTSCENE

After Illia leaves the shuttle its door closes. Then Illia climbs the ladder to the command 'balcony' of the shuttle ramp. When she presses the console located on the biggest console there:

CUTSCENE

The doors of the shuttle bay open. Illia looks around.

ILLIA

Goodbye, Atlantic.

Suddenly three securities including Woo-Jin materialize between Illia and the ladder down.

/CUTSCENE

LEE WOO-JIN

Don't move! The game is over.

The only choice the player / Illia has is to jump over the railing to the main level of the shuttle bay. As soon as she does that the securities position themselves along the balcony and start shooting. Illia now has to open the door of the shuttle again and enter it.

CUTSCENE

Shuttle starts, turns and flies through the shuttle bay doors, that already start to close again. The shuttle flies away from the Atlantic and goes to warp. The Atlantic turns and suddenly there is lightning around the warp nacelles. Cut to engineering:

MOYA

Moya to Bridge. Ms. Ericcson

has damaged the warp core more

severely than we thought.

We're dead in the water.

ILLIA (Narrator)

I was en route. The voyage

to the Antioch system was

pretty short and completely

uneventful. Quite a surprise

was waiting for me there

however. Between Antioch 2

and 3 a ship was drifting...

Inside the shuttle:

ILLIA

Computer, please repeat.

COMPUTER

Vehicle identified as a Romulan

Warbird. Scans show

no power usage.

Pause.

COMPUTER

Incoming transmission.

Illia turns in her chair.

ILLIA

On screen.

C. Stevens appears on a screen on the right of the main window of the shuttle.

STEVENS

Good day, Miss Ericcson. This

is a recorded message of

course. I hope you like your

new vehicle. We have lured the

Warbird here using a false

emergency signal from a

Romulan cargo ship. Instead

of the ship the Romulan were

facing the newest biological

weapon in the arsenal of

Section 31. Supplied by the

Enterprise herself from the

Attrexian sector. The

'Exomorphs' as they are

called will dispose of

themselves after they are

finished with the Romulans,

but as we haven't done

extensive tests yet, it's

entirely possible that the

conditioning didn't work on

all of them. So expect some

residual Exomorph activity on

the ship.

Stevens disappears from the screen. The camera is pointed on Illia again.

ILLIA

Computer, beam me to the

bridge of the Warbird.

COMPUTER

Not possible, the shields of

the Warbirds are partially

activated.

ILLIA

Fine, then. Beam me as near

to the bridge as possible.

/CUTSCENE

2.2.6 Map Six

Mission Objective: Go to the bridge of the Warbird.

Illia has to fight several Exomorphs on the way to the bridge. At numerous points she finds Romulan bodies. Once she has reached the bridge there is an intense fight with several waves of Exomorphs. When Illia has won:

CUTSCENE

Illia walks to a console.

ILLIA (Narrator)

I had my doubts about whether

or not the ship would blow

when I switched on the

singularity drive.

Back on the bridge:

ILLIA

The proof of the pudding

is in the eating.

Illia pushes a few buttons on the console. The ship powers up (hinted at visually and with sound)

The Warbird turns and disappears in Warp.

2.2.7 Map Seven

Camera hovers in space. Text appears: "Oberth System". Warbirds warps in. The camera follows the Warbird and it becomes evident that it flies towards a planet.

Illia is sitting at a console. On the main viewscreen Tal'Shiar Commander Tebok appears.

TEBOK

You are approaching a facility

of the Tal'Shiar. The military has

no authority here. Turn your ship

around immediately or you can

count yourself lucky if you

only loose your command.

Tebok disappears from the screen, the planet can be seen

ILLIA

He's already angry, and I haven't

even started yet.

Illia pushes a button. The Warbird fires its disrupters.

Romulan structures on the planet are seen, a few soldiers are seen walking past the camera. Then the Disrupters projectiles fall from the sky. Two or three hit the ground some distance away. Explosions. Then several explode in the vicinity of the camera. The screen becomes white. Cut.

ILLIA (Narrator)

In my opinion the best solution

was to destroy the outpost together

with the prisoner from orbit. But

that would have required minutes of

sustained fire. Minutes I wasn't

going to get...

Another Warbirds de-cloaks and immediately begins to fire on Illia's.

ILLIA (Narrator)

I shouldn't have been surprised.

The camera shows Illia sitting on the bridge. Several consoles explode.

ILLIA (Narrator)

A Warbird of the Tal'Shiar.

There was only one option:

Collision.

Illia continues to use the consoles. More explosions. The camera shows Illia's Warbird from behind. It becomes evident that the Warbird flies away from the camera. Some distance away the Tal'Shiar Warbirds can be seen.

/CUTSCENE

If possible the enemy Warbird should be getting bigger on the view screen as the distance decreases.

ILLIA

I have maybe two minutes to

reach the transporter room

and escape to the planet.

Illia has to run through the dying Warbird. Explosions are everywhere, beams are falling, holes are appearing in the floor, etc. At some point gravity disappears. In the transporter room, right before the beaming process starts, the energy conduits explode.

ILLIA

I have to reroute energy

with my tricorder.

After the player has solved a energy rerouting riddle and Illia steps on the transporter platform, she is beamed away.

The whole time the 'life bar' on the left displays the distance to the second Warbird. When the bar is empty the Warbirds collide (although that is not shown, if Illia hasn't been able to escape). The collision is only hinted at by the screen going white and the player dying. If Illia manages to beam herself off board, a cinematic shows the two Warbirds colliding and disappearing in a ball of flame.

2.2.8 Map Eight

Illia appears on Oberth 3 amid ruins. She looks around.

ILLIA

I've certainly left quite

an impression here.

ILLIA (Narrator)

It was clear to me of course,

that the prisoner was being

held captive in an underground

facility, where the disrupters

only caused mild damage. So,

unfortunately, I had to assume

that he was still alive.

ILLIA

It seems that I have no other

choice than to find an entrance

to the underground levels.

Mission Objective:

·         Find an entrance to the remains of the outpost.

At first Illia doesn't encounter any enemies in the ruins, but soon Romulans show up (perhaps in environmental suits), that she has to fight against. The entrance is closed and has to be opened with a nearby button.

2.2.9 Map Nine

Illia has entered the Romulan outpost. She is facing heavy resistance. Illia fights against different kinds of Romulans.

Having just won a particularly intense fight, Illia steps through a door and reaches a room with many holding cells that are secured by forcefields.

CUTSCENE

ILLIA

Stammheim.

Stammheim can barely talk. There is crusted blood on his face. He holds his arms protectively above his head.

In a terrified voice:

STAMMHEIM

Who... who are you?

ILLIA

You know me, Stammheim. The

Mission on Cardassia Prime?

Doesn't that ring a bell?

STAMMHEIM

No more questions... Please...

please...

Pause.

STAMMHEIM

My head... He promised the pain

would stop. He promised.

Whispering:

STAMMHEIM

Please.

ILLIA

The Romulans didn't exactly handle

him with kid gloves, it seems.

She deactivates the force field.

ILLIA
Come on, Alexander. I'll get you

out of here. Try to follow me, ok?

Do you understand?

Pause.

STAMMHEIM

Follow... Yes...

Voice fades:

STAMMHEIM

Follow...

/CUTSCENE

After some time during which Stammheim follows Illia, they reach Stammheim's Shuttle (Idryll shuttle or other, no Starfleet one though).

CUTSCENE

Illia walks into the shuttle, Stammheim follows. She points to a chair.

ILLIA

Sit down, Alexander. I have to

open the shuttle bay doors.

STAMMHEIM

My head...

When Illia leaves the shuttle:

ILLIA

Deja-vu...

More Romulans enter the room either by stepping through doors and beaming in.

/CUTSCENE

Illia succeeds in reaching the button for the doors of the shuttle bay. The doors are located in the ceiling (the shuttles have to fly upwards to get out of the bay) She pushes the button.

CUTSCENE

Doors open.

ILLIA

Let's go home.

Suddenly the shuttle starts to rise and flies away through the open doors.

ILLIA

No.

On the screen besides the console Illia is standing next to, Stammheim appears.

STAMMHEIM

I'm sorry, Illia. I really am.

The danger simply was too great

that you'd decide to kill me.

So I played on your compassion.

Since Hetlek we know that it's

one of your few weaknesses.

Give my regards to Cmdr. Tebok.

You'll spend much time with him

in the immediate future.

Stammheim grins and disappears from the screen.

ILLIA

Bastard!

Behind Illia several Romulans are approaching with drawn weapons. They stand in a half circle. Fade out.

2.2.10 Map Ten

Illia is being lead into a room. Commander Tebok is waiting for her there.

COMMANDER TEBOK

Please, sit down.

Illia does so. It becomes clear that the wall seen behind her in the narrator parts belonged to the interrogation cell she now sits in (To put it differently: The background story is set in this cell)

COMMANDER TEBOK

Well, perhaps you could

start by telling me how you

came to be here on this planet.

ILLIA

With pleasure. It's quite an

interesting story really.

Pause.

ILLIA

Everything began quite peacefully...

Fade out, fade in.

ILLIA

And that's how I got into this

unfortunate situation.

COMMANDER TEBOK

Thank you for your cooperation.

Alas, the fact remains that you

are responsible for the destruction

of two Warbirds and for severely

damaging an outpost of the

Tal'Shiar. Your execution is

inevitable. If your cooperation

remains as good however, I will

make sure that it will be as

pain-free as possible. If you would

be so kind as to follow the guard.

We'll see each other again tomorrow

for some more questions.

Illia is being escorted along a corridor. She walks past the camera, slow fade out.

Text: Three Months later. Risa.

Alexander Stammheim enters his shuttle. Stevens appears on the screen.

STEVENS

I hope you have enjoyed your

stay on Risa.

STAMMHEIM

As a matter of fact, I'd prefer

staying here forever.

Stevens smiles.

STEVENS

Don't be silly. I know you, Alex.

You can hardly wait to get your

next mission. We'll see each other

at the rendezvous point.

The shuttle starts, flies over a tropical landscape and suddenly explodes. The camera continues being pointed skyward a few seconds after the last debris has dropped to the ground. Then Illia's eyes are shown up close.

ILLIA

What a beautiful sky.

Black screen.
