Hi All

Please read the following instructions carefully before making changes to your savegames. Getting it wrong WILL mess up the savegames. ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR FILES!!!

Brief background
From what I have seen, Summoner savegames are all 'different' from are hacking point of view. All the character's details are stored in a different memory location for every savegame. This means I can't just write a simple hack and you whack in the XP cheat and that's it.... no.... no.... no....

So How Does This Savegame Editor Work Then?
With a little help from you!!! Before you can use the editor, Joseph must be at least level 4 first. This requires about 300XP which shouldn't take too long to get. You then MUST write down your character's XP for use in the editor..

OK, Ready? Follow These Steps...

1) Load in the Editor and load in the game you're currently playing (e.g. D:\games\summoner\savegame\summoner2.sav). If you're not sure check the time and date of the file in windows explorer.

2) Now enter your character(s) XP into the green box(es) to the right of their picture (you did write it down didn't you?).

3) Hit the 'Grab Offsets' button

4) If all is correct, the Editor should be able to locate where your character(s) XPs are stored in memory..... But there's a catch, it might find more than one match! The list of matching memory locations will be loaded into the yellow combo boxes right of their picture.

5) If there are more than one matches choose one from the yellow combo box and check the items in the various combo boxes around the character. If they correspond to your game data then this is the correct memory location.

6) Now the fun part. Having found the correct offset (memory location), its time to alter your characters stats and items to your heart's content.

7) Once you're happy with all the changes, hit the Save button to save data back to file.

8) Exit the Editor and load in the game.

OK. That's pretty much it. If you have any problems (with the Editor), comments or suggestions, or if you find new items (like Ring of the Gods - coz I can't find it!), zip up your savegame and mail me at nia@now.com and I will add it to the next release of the Editor.

Enjoy!

Nia
