First, do not use this script pack with Panama Jacks (PJ) or any other script pack. I made this as a compilation of my favorite scripts and it will work with a fresh or “virgin” install of tribes2. “Virgin” meaning that you have NEVER installed any other script packs. If you have, then contact me with what scripts you have and I will tell you if they will work with my pack. I made this because I will not use PJ scripts again. I got so many UE’s and strange anomalies with his latest scripts. The scripts I have put together in this pack are not going to cause you any worries, they do not conflict with each other, and they will not “drag” your system down like PJ stuff does. This is not a “hate” PJ thing at all. I supported his scripts for a long time until I discovered how much better my game ran without his stuff. Plus I could never run a server with tricon2 if I had any kind of PJ script. With that being said, I will give a very brief description of the scripts I have put together. I suggest you look for the readme files from the original packed file if you want to see more detail and info. Open the zip file to view all the .vl2 individually packed up. You can select and install them individually or you can install the whole thing. I have set the correct paths for the non .vl2 files. ALL FILES GO IN GAMEDATA/BASE FOLDER.  Just select the ones you want or select the whole thing and put them there. Nothing else to do in there so start T2 now and go to controls and look for the new binds that you HAVE TO SET.  After you have set your binds, open up the scripts tab and familiarize yourself with this thing. NOTE:  there are some options for some of the scripts in this area that are NOT in the controls thingy so look at each individual script and see if there is a place to set options. VoidSay, Kerbs, and DIO are a few that I know of that have options in this area so look for the others. I will say this once so I don’t repeat myself over and over:  If you are not sure you know what a particular script in here is or does, then for GODS sake don’t install it until you have researched it and understand it.  Your game won’t break or anything like that but if you install something and don’t know what it does or how to set the options or even where to set the options, or where the folder is so you can customize or delete the script, then you have not listened to my instructions and you may very well have to uninstall tribes2 from your computer and reinstall in order to play again. There are only 7 files in this pack that are not in .vl2 format.  The other 17 files are .vl2 format.  After installing, you decide that you don’t like the script, if it’s one of the .vl2 scripts all you have to do is look in your base folder for the file name and delete it and that’s that.  If it’s one of the other 7 that are .cs files, then you will have to look in scripts folder and/or autoexec folder and/or –Boots- folder to remove those scripts.  Hopefully you won’t need to do this because I haven’t included any off the wall scripts in THIS pack. This is just a very, very basic script pack I use all the time. This is the first script pack I install whenever I have to do a fresh install.  I have other script, voice, and map packs too but those are my personal favorites and you may not like what I like. Plus those are a bit more complicated to set up than this one.

If I have scared you and you have doubts about whether to install this on your computer, then I have succeeded in what I intended to do in the first place. You should never install anything from anybody you do not know or trust, especially if you don’t even know what it is that you are fixing to install!  Now on with the show!!!!    ENJOY!!!

Installation:

READ EVERYTHING BELOW BEFORE INSTALLING A THING!!!!

1) Extract AngryPack.zip into your Tribes2/Gamedata/base directory

2) Run tribes 2 and from the menu, select "Scripts".

3) Edit ALL scripts that have options in here and ALL GUI’s as you see fit. Close this window.

4) Select “Settings” from the menu. Select “Controls” from the menu and bind ALL the keys for your new scripts.

5] Play T2!!!!!

I have made SOME links to the host scripts site. However, some of the scripts in my pack have been modified by myself and/or others, some of the host sites have disappeared, and some I have just forgotten where I stumbled across them. Most of the scripts have readme’s inside their respective .vl2’s, just open them and look for a .txt, readme, or help file.

support.vl2     documentation about this script. it's a GIANT d/l and read...

1.       This file must be present for almost every script to function. What it does I haven’t a clue. Just make sure you have it installed in Gamedata/base directory.

2.     zKirbsLite.v12        documentation about this script...

This is a script pack that contains a few nifty gadgets. The readme above is for the Full version though. I use the lite version because it has been further modified to run more smooth. It contains “Rangefinder”, “auto missle and auto flare, FOV (field of view) tool, and a few others. [Must set key binds AND set options from the “scripts” tab in the lobby.]

3.     zIcons & Nades.vl2    documentation about this script...

Modifies your inventory HUD grenade icon to reflect your loadout. Also provides support for Wretched's recolored icons. Even works on servers which have CRC checking turned on.

4.      zgreenblackgui.vl2

Don’t remember where I got this one. It changes your in-game gui’s from the ugly green ones.

5.     VoidSay.vl2

The link above is for the original. I modified the one in my pack to do a few other neato things. Lets you customize and bind chat messages. [Must set key binds AND set options from the “scripts” tab in the lobby.]

6.     TeamCountHud.vl2

Displays the number of players on each team. Small gui that can be moved with following HUD mover.

7.       HudMover.vl2

Labrats HUD mover. Kinda self explanatory, heh? The default key bind for this script is “f4”, which is also the default for “start demo recording”.  You HAVE to change one of the two.  It’s easier to change the demo recording bind than it is to change the HUD mover bind. However, read the instructions inside the file to find out how to change the default bind for HUD mover.  [Must set key bind for this AND for “start demo recording”]

8.     T1_FlagSounds.vl2

You guessed it!  Sounds from Tribes for the “flag” status only. [You can preview the sounds by opening the file and double-clicking the individual sound file, before you install]

9.     pLabs_fluxVoice.vl2

The best flux voice thingy made!  This one lets you change the pitch of your voice AND lets you use any voice with any armor class. I love this little script and it works great. You can’t use the other {or ANY other flux version}, complicated, voice chat thingy called “quickmenu” with this script. I have used both and I prefer this one because of its simplicity and it is user friendly. [Nothing to bind but it adds a new gui on warrior setup page and adds bot voice to present voice gui]

10.  localtaunt.vl2

Plays a local taunt and animation every time you frag someone. Be careful because if you placed a mine back at your base or set up a few turrets somewhere and you are now at the enemy base trying to be sneaky, if someone gets fragged by your mine or turrets, you will automatically taunt from where you stand and you better hope you aren’t trying to hide from nearby enemys cause they will hear you J [Has a key bind to toggle on/off but why would anyone want this to be off?]

11.   JumpJetPilot.vl2

Automatically makes you jump every time you use jet pack, thereby giving you a higher lift rate. No need to hit the jump key right before you jet with this baby! Also aids in skiing too! Just hold down your jump key right before skiing and away you go. [Must set a key bind to work. Just replace whatever key you are using for jet pack with this bind]

12.  jsutffg.vl2

jsutffg is a full force grenade and mine script.  It allow you to throw grenades or mines as far as you can throw them with a single key press, without having to hold the key down to get extra distance.  [Must set key binds to work]

13.  HalDeployer.vl2

Enables the deploy status indicator on your reticle when you have a deployable. This is a real time saver when you are in a pinch.  [Has a key bind to enable/disable it but why would you want to turn this off?]

14.  DioFlagCall.vl2

Scream for help after flag grab, along with custom grab/speed message. Optional flare message when you're out of flares, have the flag, and someone gets a missile lock. Optional need repair kits message too.  [Has options menu in the scripts tab in lobby for setting message, and to toggle repair/flare messages]

15.  Des-BombRet.vl2

An oversized bomber reticle. Easy on the eyes but hard on the enemys A&#!!

16.  cleanDSO.vl2

Probably the most important script concerning the game as a whole but was somehow not thought of during the development of the game. This script cleans your Tribes2 folder of those nasty, pesky .dso files every time you exit a game under normal conditions. I don’t see how the game even functioned from day 1 without this baby!

17.   autopoints.vl2

AutoPoints will allow you to automatically set waypoints to people on your team, enemy team, or people with a specific

name.  [Must set options in the scripts tab in lobby to work.]

18.  webmail.cs

I have no idea where I got this but it is an oldie. Once you receive a T-Mail, you will get an on-screen alert at the bottom of

your screen. Example:

You have a new T-Mail From: Big A.

Subject: Hey! You are the greatest!

After you see this alert, you can press the console key (By default, this key is the grave/tilde:  (~)

to see the message. It will be displayed in RED TEXT in the console, useful if you want to see if its something

you need to reply to! Not just an 'Ok' message :)    [Must have 'Check E-Mail while playing' enabled in SETTINGS/NETWORK.]

19.  transchathud.cs

Makes the chat HUD transparent.

20.stationmine.cs

Drops a mine, if you have any, when you walk over an enemy inventory/vehicle station.

21.  reticleCompass.cs

Creates a compass centered on your weapon reticle.

22.retfix.cs

Fixes reticles with newest patch. However, the link above says this file is obsolete and the author wants you to install something called reticle manager. I have tried that script and I prefer to just use the simple retfix.cs script instead.

23.QFireTone.cs

Plays a tone when you kill someone and when you damage a team-mate in team damage {on} servers.

24. Incoming.cs

This alerts your team where the enemy is coming from.  [Must bind a key to work]

Well, thats all I feel like doing with this right now. Hope you enjoy this.
